About Café De Monse
For Monse, Café de Monse is more than a longtime dream—it is a way to share the flavors, hospitality, and traditions that have shaped her life. Her family’s roots in Mexico City remain close to her heart and inspire the café’s food, atmosphere, and specialty coffee recipes, each with a thoughtful nod to Latino flavors. After living in several states, Monse and her husband came to Utah in 2017 and quickly knew they had found home. Their family soon followed, deepening the roots they were building here. Monse first opened her doors in Tremonton as Snacks Sweet and Salty in August 2025. To mark the business’s first anniversary, she reimagined the space, expanded the menu, and introduced Café de Monse in September 2026—a café created for the community she is proud to call home.
Some of Monse’s earliest and happiest food memories are of helping her mother prepare and serve fresh fruit at neighborhood markets. Those simple moments taught her the value of working together, welcoming people warmly, and serving food with care. Today, the café’s colorful fruit cups are among its signature offerings—a familiar favorite that carries a meaningful piece of her family story into the business she has built. Now, her mother works alongside her at Café de Monse, preparing flavorful salsas and sauces from treasured family recipes.
Proud to Be Family Owned
Café de Monse is proudly family-run. On any given day, guests may be welcomed by Monse’s mother, Dahlia; her husband, Eder; or her brothers, Jonathan and Victor. Together, they are building more than a café—they are creating a gathering place where Tremonton neighbors can enjoy memorable food and coffee, experience a taste of Mexican heritage, and feel at home. Monse is grateful to grow this business here and is deeply invested in serving the community for years to come.
